Sideways French tip with ILNP Juliette

I have been wanting to do this so-called 'sideways French tip' design for a long time now. I recently purchased ILNP "Juliette", which I knew would be perfect for the accent colour. Then a couple of days ago I got Cirque Colors "Jane on Jane St", which I thought would make an excellent contrast with Juliette. Read on for more photos, and do check out my video of this on Instagram.

Jane + Juliette

Juliette needs no introduction - it's pretty well-known and coveted among nail polish fanatics. It's so gorgeous and incredibly sparkly, and I've paused many times while typing this to stare at it...

Very holographic under sunlight!

But Jane on Jane St is also very pretty indeed! Cirque Colors' website calls the colour 'rose mauve', which is quite appropriate because it isn't exactly pink in hue. Wonderfully smooth and opaque in two thin coats. I'm looking forward to using this again in other designs.

Jane on Jane St is actually a bit tricky to photograph - it's slightly less pink than it appears here.

As usual, here are all the polishes and items I used, in order:
  • Base coat (peel-off): UNT "Ready for takeoff"
  • Rose mauve: Cirque Colors "Jane on Jane St" (creme)
  • Rose gold: ILNP "Juliette" (holographic flakies)
  • French tip guides from my local pharmacy
  • Top coat: Glisten & Glow "HK Girl"
